Network topology manager

The living map of your network

CoreBit turns your infrastructure into interactive topology maps that stay in sync with reality — polling devices, tracing links, and alerting the right person the moment something goes dark. Runs entirely on your own hardware.

device status

Status you can read at a glance

Every node on every map carries one honest colour. It's the same language across the canvas, the device list, and the alerts — so the state of the network is never more than a glance away.

Online

Reachable and polling cleanly.

Warning

Reachable, but a probe or metric crossed a threshold.

Offline

Both API/SNMP and ping failed — a real outage.

Unknown

Not yet polled, or credentials not set.

why corebit

One place for the whole network

Living topology maps

Build multiple maps and link between them. A map-link node glows red when anything inside its submap goes down, so a fault surfaces from the top level.

CoreBot: AI incidents, handled

An autonomous AI first responder that groups alarms into incidents, investigates root cause vs. collateral, and pages whoever's on duty with a written verdict — often before you've opened your phone.

Monitoring that fails safe

A two-lane poller checks devices in parallel and falls back to ping. Alarms fire only when both the API and ping fail — real outages, not noise.

On-duty alert routing

Route notifications to Telegram, Slack, Pushover, e-mail or a webhook, and hand off to whoever is on shift with per-group on-duty schedules.

Bandwidth on the wire

Read live per-interface throughput straight onto the links between devices, with warning and critical thresholds that alert on sustained load.

A source of truth that maintains itself

Discovered IPs, VLANs, interfaces and MAC tables are kept live as devices are polled — documentation that updates itself instead of going stale.

Yours, on your metal

CoreBit installs on your own Linux box in minutes. No cloud account, no data leaving your network, no per-seat metering.

UniFi, mapped automatically

Point CoreBit at your UniFi controller and its access points, switches and gateways appear with live health, PoE, clients and the links between them — then alarm like any other device.

Monitor networks you can't reach

Deploy a lightweight remote probe agent at a branch, a customer site or behind NAT. It connects outbound only and does the polling from there, while all your config, history, alarms and dashboards stay in one place.

integrations

Speaks your network's languages

Point CoreBit at a device and it picks the right method automatically — or add your own metrics by OID or exporter path.

  • MikroTik RouterOS API & WinBox — CPU, memory, uptime, firmware, interfaces, IP addresses
  • Generic SNMP Device info, CPU, memory, uptime, interfaces, traffic
  • Prometheus / node_exporter Recommended for servers — full vitals, traffic, IP & MAC
  • Proxmox VE VM placement across a cluster, with dynamic link updates on migration
  • VMware vSphere vCenter-to-host monitoring via the plugin system
  • UniFi Network CloudKey / UDM / self-hosted — auto-discovers access points, switches & gateways with vitals, PoE, clients, radios and the links between them
  • HP iLO (Redfish) Out-of-band health for servers and similar hardware
  • Ping only Smokeping-style reachability for anything with an address
  • Custom metrics Any SNMP OID or exporter metric, with calculated formulas and alarms
Migration

Coming from MikroTik "The Dude"?

Import your existing dude.db and CoreBit rebuilds your maps, devices, links and placements in one upload — and can bring the WinBox logins across as shared credential profiles or per-device credentials.

who it's for

Built for the people who keep networks up

ISPs & service providers

Backbone and aggregation visibility across sites, with on-duty routing so the right engineer gets paged — and living maps that document the network as it actually is.

Enterprise & NOC teams

One canvas for the whole estate: switches, servers, hypervisors and out-of-band controllers, with role-based access for operators and viewers.

Power users & homelabs

Free for ten devices with every feature unlocked. Map your rack, watch Proxmox VMs move between hosts, and graph anything an exporter exposes.

New features surface here as we build them. Here's the latest release.

1.0.0, b932 2026-09-30
  • Stored passwords, SNMP communities and API tokens are no longer sent to the browser or API clients (shown as ********), and backup downloads now require an administrator
  • Fixed MikroTik devices polled over Winbox sometimes getting stuck in an online/offline loop until CoreBit was restarted
  • Fixed a failed Winbox poll sometimes wiping a device's interface list, or marking it online with an unknown name
  • Improved Winbox polling on slow routers
  • Custom SNMP metrics that a device does not have are now skipped instead of failing, so one profile can be used on many different models
  • Devices that do not answer SNMP now have their custom SNMP metrics paused for a while instead of slowing every poll
  • Fixed a single missing SNMP metric making all SNMP v1 metrics fail, and occasional failures from a single lost packet
  • IP addresses used by Proxmox and VMware virtual machines are now shown in IPAM with the virtual machine name and host
  • Added detection of virtual machines moving between hosts, including between ESXi hosts under a vCenter
  • VMware virtual machines now show each network adapter with its port group, MAC address, connection state and IP addresses
  • Fixed VMware virtual machines on standalone ESXi hosts not showing any IP addresses
  • The AI assistant can scan a subnet for active addresses and unknown devices (admins and superusers), list all devices in a subnet, and search virtual machines across all hosts
  • Added a status value mapping for RouterOS command metrics, the same as SNMP metrics
  • Added Copy buttons for SNMP and RouterOS custom metrics and for credential profiles
  • Credential profiles are now grouped by type, collapsed by default and searchable
  • RouterOS command and PromQL metrics can now be chosen as variables (At a Glance, text labels and notifications)
  • Interface link speed can be set from the Link Types list for interfaces that do not report one
  • Interfaces a device no longer reports are shown under a new Stale filter and can be removed
  • Clicking the traffic icon next to a monitored interface opens the full bandwidth chart with zoom
  • Fixed interfaces without a reported link speed raising false bandwidth alarms
  • Fixed the * (any other value) setting in status mappings not working
  • Fixed status metrics sometimes showing the raw value instead of OK, Warning or Error
